Se trata de materiales con un alto calor latente que en la temperatura de cambio de fase son capaces de almacenar o liberar grandes cantidades de energ\u00eda en el interior de nuestros edificios. Son materiales pasivos (no consumen energ\u00eda ni se conectan a nada) utilizados para conseguir edificios m\u00e1s eficientes y menos contaminantes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Los PCM se suelen incorporar como aditivos en materiales de construcci\u00f3n como por ejemplo yesos, yesos proyectables, morteros, placas de yeso, cart\u00f3n-yeso, etc. El producto permite controlar la temperatura del interior de los edificios, proporcionando un equilibrio t\u00e9rmico tanto en invierno como en verano. Durante los cambios de fase, la temperatura de la habitaci\u00f3n se mantiene constante, reduciendo o eliminando la necesidad de sistemas de aire acondicionado o calefacci\u00f3n. Le han concedido la patente en USA.<\/p>\n<p>El truco est\u00e1 en construir la casa con materiales con una alta conductividad de energ\u00eda y un sistema de reciclado de aire.\u00a0Una mezcla de cemento, tierra y aditivos logra que la energ\u00eda se mueva dentro de los materiales, tal y como hacen los seres vivos, que intercambian energ\u00eda y materia con el entorno.
