La utilizaci\u00f3n de vidrios con una alta transmitancia (monol\u00edtico) maximiza las ganancias solares a la pared de masa. En cambio, la utilizaci\u00f3n de un doble acristalamiento aislante puede mejorar el rendimiento del sistema al tener una menor transmitancia t\u00e9rmica y retener hacia el interior una mayor cantidad de energ\u00eda captada.<\/p>\n<p>En el caso del doble acristalamiento aislante, el acristalamiento exterior debe ser duradero. Estar\u00e1 directamente expuesto a duras condiciones meteorol\u00f3gicas y rayos ultravioletas. En el caso del doble acristalamiento aislante, las temperaturas<br \/>\nalcanzadas por el acristalamiento exterior no ser\u00e1n tan elevadas como a las se expone el cristal interior.<\/p>\n<p>Es conveniente dise\u00f1ar alg\u00fan m\u00e9todo de limpieza interior de la zona comprendida entre la ventana y la parte de almacenamiento de un muro Trombe, sobre todo si este es ventilado. Tambi\u00e9n existen vidrios impresos que puede limitar la visibilidad exterior de la pared oscura de acumulaci\u00f3n sin afectar a la transmisi\u00f3n de calor.
